SWEATER (don’t you love it when something goes on sale after you buy it 🙃) / BLACK JEANS / MESH TOP
First and foremost, I just want to say that I am praying all throughout the day for everybody affected by these fires going in Ventura and LA right now! Alec and I evacuated a couple of nights ago but we are back to our apartment and just staying updated on where the fire is moving. I should also get a mask so I can breathe because holy smoke….
I wanted to share our experience cutting down a Christmas Tree with my family in Washington a couple weekends ago! This was a big deal for both of us because for me, our family has had an artificial tree for yeeeeears. Like over 10 years. And it was beautiful and huge but the fam wanted to mix it up this year because, go figure, trying to set up, decorate, and tear down a massive artificial tree takes a whole lot of work. And then Alec, my sweet southern California man, would go get his tree from a Home Depot parking lot each year. So we felt quite *authentic* chopping it down ourselves. However, it was obviously amateur hour and we didn’t bring an electric saw and if it weren’t for the sweet soul you saw in le video, it would’ve taken 5ever to chop that thing down.
I just love being home in Seattle. It was so fun being able to decorate the tree with my family and actually wear a coat lol. I just can’t get into the spirit of thins when it’s 85 degrees outside (looking at you SoCal). We got to celebrate Thanksgiving at my aunt and uncle’s with literally all extended family and we went black Friday shopping the next day (literally only bought things for myself….I’m the worst) and I just felt so joyful and fulfilled after a fun-filled, fam-filled holiday weekend.
Make sure to tune in next Wednesday when we decorate OUR apartment and Hobby Lobby trip 2.0!
