I can’t believe that I quit working at Disneyland in February and just now came back to visit in December!! Being the intelligent, Disneyland expert that I am, I decided to go back on a Saturday in December aka Disney hell and not only were the crowds basically maxed out, it was over 90 degrees during the day, and then they cancelled the fireworks at night because of the wind LOLOLOLOL. Buuuut of course we still made the best of the day and got to go on the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride and WOW I was actually blown away because I thought there was no way that I would like it better since I was a Tower of Terror die hard and I actually thought it was even BETTER!! But holy motion sickness….
As you may have seen in my Complete Disney Food Guide yesterday, Festival of Holidays was going on in California Adventure so we also got to stuff our faces with delicious treats and drinks since waiting two hours for a ride was just out of the question for me (I’ve been spoiled).
But the real question is how did it feel to be back as an ex-cast member…..honestly, it really didn’t feel all that different. I know, booo, bad answer! I think I have spent sooo many days in Disneyland the last five years and so much has happened between February and now that has kept me occupied that I haven’t even really had time to miss it yet. But I may or may not have shed a couple tears at one point (watch the video to find out). I love that I know Disneyland like the back of my hand and have experienced everything there is to do there because even though we were only there for one day, I didn’t feel like we had to do everyyyy single thing (but I was bummed about the fireworks, like c’mon).
Obviously Disneyland will always hold a special place in my heart and I definitely want to go back again soon, but maybe on a Wednesday at the end of January instead….
