Happy Wednesday!! I am so excited to share these pictures because we got the chance to stay at one of the coolest hotels ever in Portland! It’s a newbie called Hi-Lo Hotel, Autograph Collection and omg it was so Instagramable it wasn’t even funny!! The lobby was stunning with an array of colorful velvet chairs (and swinging benches!!) and white brick walls and I think Alec & I literally just went and dropped off our stuff and headed back down to take pictures (ugh, such millennials, right??). The rooms were so darling & cozy (just like their fuzzy robes that I considering taking home with me) and I just loved the whole concept of the place. Three cheers for the Hi-Lo! They also had a delicious restaurant in the hotel called Alto Bajo (with prickly pear margaritas, hello!) which we ate at before……BRUNO MARS!!!
The Bruno Mars concert was the *main reason* we all went to Portland in the first place and HOLY WOW it was seriously the best concert ever. It wasn’t going to work for us to be in Seattle for his concert there or for my family to come down to LA for this concerts here so we just met in the middle! The thing is, I mean, I enjoy a good concert, not quite as much as Alec, and they are generally really fun, but usually by the end, I am ready to go. NOT THIS ONE. I was so freaking entertained the whole time and literally could have listened to him for another hour and just don’t even get me started on his voice. And his dancing. And just all around *finesse*. I would 110% go to another one of his shows and beg for encore after encore. Also three cheers for Bruno Mars (actually, make it four)!!
ALSOOOOO, I am SO excited to announce that starting next Wednesday I will be starting a new series called New to Newlywed and every Wednesday will be Newlywed Wednesday where Alec and I will share what life is like as a newlywed (because as fabulous as it is 99% of the time, the 1% doesn’t really get talked about much and I think it’s important to be real about it). We have some funny videos to share, general advice, and I’ll put Alec to the test to see how well he really knows his wifey muahaha! But yeah, stay tuned because it’s going to be really good (she said humbly)!
