Whitehaven Heaven

Hiiiiii everyone!

wow. wow. wow. I have never seen anything prettier in my life than Whitehaven Beach. It was honestly surreal.

We took a helicopter (the size of a shoebox) from Hamilton Island to Whitehaven Beach. This beach is absolutely stunning and has some of the finest, whitest sand in the world. It literally felt like we were walking on baby powder. I even took some home with me and it was in my carry-on and TSA had to test it for another suspicious substance. But wow they treated us like royalty this day. The pilot went off to her little pilot hut and we had a couple hours with the whole beach literally to ourselves. They had for us a bottle of champagne and a picnic lunch (which we had to fight of the aggressive birds for) but it was a DREAM.

I don’t know if I have ever been full of more joy than I was on that beach, despite the fact that it was SO HOT AND SO HUMID. Like I thought I might die on that beach but I was so happy that the heat couldn’t even faze me. The helicopter was actually so fun too once you mentally get over the fact that you are flying above the ocean in a small metal sphere. We could see sting rays in the crystal clear water and we got to admire the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef from above. It was really really insane. It felt like a dream!! You can tell that I am still in awe of the whole experience. It was definitely my highlight!! I think I told Alec “I am living my best life” like 20 times while we were there. I couldn’t believe this was actually my life. If you ever get the chance to go here, DO IT!!(just bring sunscreen, oops)
